Wash Care Guide

Looking after your branded workwear

Decorated workwear lasts a lot longer when it's washed properly. A few simple habits keep your printing and embroidery looking sharp wash after wash.

General rules

  • Turn garments inside out before washing to protect the decoration
  • Wash at 30°C where you can — cooler washes are kinder to print and thread
  • Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh stain removers
  • Wash similar colours together
  • Fasten zips and avoid overloading the machine

Drying

  • Air dry where possible
  • If you tumble dry, use a low heat — high heat can crack print and shrink some fabrics
  • Avoid long spells in strong direct sunlight, which can fade colours

Ironing

  • Iron inside out
  • Never iron directly over a printed logo or embroidery
  • Use a low to medium heat, and place a cloth over the area if you need to press nearby

A note on print types

Different decoration methods wear slightly differently. Embroidery is the most hard-wearing and handles commercial laundering well, which is why it's popular for uniforms washed often. Printed designs last well too when washed cool and dried gently.
