Artwork Guidelines
Getting your logo print-ready
The better the artwork you send us, the better your finished workwear looks. Here's what we need to get your logo onto your garments cleanly the first time.
Best file types
Send vector artwork wherever you can. Vector files stay sharp at any size, which matters when the same logo goes on a cap one day and a jacket back the next.
- Best: .ai, .eps, .pdf (vector), .svg
- Usable: high-resolution .png with a transparent background, .psd
- Avoid if possible: .jpg, screenshots, or images pulled from a website or social media — these are usually too low-resolution to reproduce well
Resolution
For any pixel-based file such as a PNG, aim for 300 dpi at the size it will actually be printed. A logo that looks fine on screen can still come out blurry once printed at chest size.
Embroidery artwork
Embroidery is stitched rather than printed, so very fine detail and small text can be lost. As a rough guide:
- Keep text above 4–5mm tall in the final size
- Simple, bold shapes reproduce best
- Gradients and photographic detail don't translate to thread, so we'll convert these to solid stitch colours
Every embroidery design is digitised before it's stitched, and we'll share a preview for you to approve where needed.
Colours
Tell us your brand colours as Pantone references if you have them. If not, we'll match as closely as the print method and garment allow. Colours can look slightly different on different fabrics.
Not sure if your file will work?
Email it to info@brandmenow.co.uk or call us on 0121 472 5300 and we'll check it for free before you order. We review every order by hand, so we'll always flag anything that won't reproduce well.
